SPINE
Stress profiling in Enhanced Geothermal Systems
The SPINE project is about developing a new tool and protocols to conduct stress profiling in crystalline rock for a better estimation of stimulation efficiency and induced seismicity related to the creation of subsurface heat exchangers.
The developed high temperature SIMFIP probe has the potential to provide unparalleled information of the stress conditions along a borehole (stress profiling) by its sensitivity to full 3D-displacements during a hydrotest in a packer interval. |
