Stress profiling in Enhanced Geothermal Systems
The SPINE project is about developing a new tool and protocols to conduct stress profiling in crystalline rock for a better estimation of stimulation efficiency and induced seismicity related to the creation of subsurface heat exchangers.
| The developed high temperature SIMFIP probe has the potential to provide unparalleled information of the stress conditions along a borehole (stress profiling) by its sensitivity to full 3D-displacements during a hydrotest in a packer interval. |
